Our Philosophy

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) is proud of its Oklahoma roots. The company continually strengthens its ties to the state through initiatives to improve local communities. It supports and works with state and local organizations to improve the health and well-being of the communities where we live and work, recognizing the vital role that community alliances play in filling the gap to a brighter, stronger and healthier future for all Oklahomans.

Oklahoma Caring Van Program

The Oklahoma Caring Van Program provides free immunizations to children in child care centers and homes, schools and public locations throughout the state. The program is the primary focus of  The Oklahoma Caring Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1994 to improve the health of Oklahoma children through vaccinations and access to basic health care.

Champions of Health

The Champions of Health awards honor individuals and organizations working to make a difference in the health of Oklahoma communities.

Blue Corps Employee Volunteer Program

Launched in April 2008, the Blue Corps Employee Volunteer Program supports the efforts of selected charitable organizations with volunteers and financial contributions in the communities where we live and work. For every verified employee hour volunteered to an approved community partner, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma contributes $20 to the designated charitable organization, up to an annual contribution of $2,000. Community partners must have a 501(c)(3) status and meet corporate giving priorities. For more information, email us at ContributionRequests@bcbsok.com.
