Tulsa, OK — Do you know someone who should be recognized as a Champion of Oklahoma Health? Your nomination could help the organization or person who inspires you to achieve even greater recognition and success. There is still time to nominate your health Champion to receive an award. The Champions of Health Awards honor individuals and organizations around the state who work to improve the health of Oklahomans everyday, using limited resources and often without recognition. through July 30.
Nominate in five categories: Champion of the Uninsured, Champion of Children's Health, Community Health Champion, Champion of Senior Health and Corporate Health Champion. These winners will receive an award and a $1,000 contribution to their organization or program. In addition to these categories, the “Dr. Rodney Huey Memorial Champion of Oklahoma Health” award will be presented to the entry judged to have the most unique and effective approach for improving Oklahoma's health. This recipient will receive $2,500. Winners will be honored at the annual awards ceremony and banquet this Fall in Oklahoma City.
The Champions of Health awards program is presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, the Oklahoma Hospital Association, the Oklahoma State Medical Association and the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.
