New President Named at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma
Tulsa, OK — Ted Haynes has been named the new president of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, effective July 1, 2012. Haynes will be responsible for sales, marketing, health care management and network operations. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma is a division of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), the country's largest customer-owned health insurer. Haynes was most recently vice president of health care delivery of HCSC's Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas and has been with the company since 1999.
During his tenure at HCSC, Haynes served as vice president and chief operating officer of the company's Southeast Texas region for provider networks, and as chief executive officer of HMO Blue®, Southwest Texas. Before joining HCSC, he served as president and CEO of West Virginia Accountable Health Plan, a hospital organization and partner in another health plan in West Virginia, for which he was chairman of the board. Haynes is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and holds a master's degree in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management at Southern Methodist University.
