Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma Names New Chief of Staff
Tulsa, OK — Nicole Amend was named chief of staff for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, effective January 21. In this role, Nicole now works with President Ted Haynes and the executive leadership team to direct and control overall planning, administration, budget and reporting for the company. Amend will continue her responsibility for the Public Relations department.
Amend joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 2005. Most recently, she served as the manager of Public Relations, responsible for media relations, public relations initiatives, provider communications, local employee communications and multimedia communications.
Amend currently is a member of the Tulsa Press Club and the Women's Leadership Council for the Tulsa Area United Way. She also serves on the Oklahoma Health Literacy Coalition.
Amend received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. She lives in Owasso with her husband, Steven, and son, Caleb.
