Mobile Health Screening Unit - Schedule

Keeping Oklahoma healthy, one person at a time     
The Mobile Health Screening Unit (MHSU) is a joint project between Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and the 246 Oklahoma Lions Clubs. The MHSU was launched in May 1998 and since then has traveled across the state, giving more than 40,000 Oklahomans valuable information about their health. The MHSU provides a variety of screenings, including:

 
  • Vision
  • Hearing
  • Glaucoma
  • Blood sugar
  • Blood pressure
  • Bone density

To schedule the MHSU for your community, call (405) 947-6540 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visit http://lionnet-oklahoma.org/.

The MHSU schedule is closed by the 20th of each month for the following month (i.e., deadline is Oct. 20 for November schedule). Final arrangements are made by the assigned unit driver/manager usually 7 to 10 days before the scheduled visit. There is a 70-mile travel maximum between sites on successive days (i.e., cannot schedule Tulsa one day and Altus the next day).
