BCBSOK Announces 2024 Medicare Plan Offerings

TULSA, Okla. — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) is pleased to announce changes to its Medicare Advantage plans for 2024.
In addition to the 44 counties BCBSOK now serves, BCBSOK is expanding network access for Medicare Advantage plans to 12 more counties in 2024, including: Adair, Atoka, Carter, Coal, Craig, Johnston, Love, Murray, Nowata, Pontotoc, Pushmataha and Rogers.
With the new expansion, BCBSOK now serves 85% of Oklahoma’s 77 counties for Medicare Advantage products offered, allowing more access to affordable, quality health care.
BCBSOK’s Medicare Advantage plans offer lower out-of-pocket costs, increased network access, prescription drug coverage and supplemental benefits including dental, vision and hearing. The BCBSOK 2024 Medicare Advantage product portfolio offers shoppers an increased range of affordable options and new opportunities to get even more benefits. In addition, all BCBSOK Medicare plans offer coverage outside of Oklahoma with the BlueCard® Program*.
“Ensuring Oklahomans have access to quality health care in the communities they live and work in is at the core of what we do,” said BCBSOK President Stephania Grober. “We have a variety of Medicare Advantage plans that will fit our members’ needs, and we strive to provide the benefits and services to make it convenient to use them.”
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period is happening now and closes on December 7, 2023, for January 1, 2024, coverage.
New in 2024:
Amazon Pharmacy added as a preferred mail-order pharmacy for all Medicare Advantage plans.
A new Health Choice PPO Medicare Advantage plan with a Flexible Spending Card:
- Includes $1,000 spending card to be used on dental, vision and hearing benefits with approved providers.
- Available in 30 counties, including 12 new counties in 2024.
- Includes a robust network of providers and hospitals in the service area.
Enhanced Benefits:
The BCBSOK Dual Needs Special Plan (D-SNP) is back with enhanced benefits, including:
- A Flexible Spending Card with a quarterly allowance of up to $270, to be used for over-the-counter health-related items at participating pharmacies and an online catalog.
- Dental benefits with an annual allowance of up to $4,000.
- Annual hearing coverage with a $2,000 allowance for hearing aids, and other hearing services, and a $0 copay.
- Annual vision coverage up to $400.
- D-SNP Plans are available in 30 counties, including 12 new counties in 2024.
- Includes a robust network of providers and hospitals in the service area.
