TULSA, Okla. — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) awarded $935,000 in Blue Impact℠ grants to 27 nonprofits addressing social and economic factors that play a role in health and wellness across Oklahoma.
Since 2011, Blue Impact grants, formally known as Healthy Kids, Healthy Families®, have supported nonprofit organizations providing a variety of health-related services with proven, sustainable and measurable programs. The funding supports programs that reach children and their families in five key areas: economic opportunity and stability, neighborhood and built environment, nutrition, locally defined health solutions and optimal health outcomes.
“Blue Impact grants are part of our ongoing commitment to support nonprofit organizations that focus on the health of Oklahomans,” said Stephania Grober, BCBSOK president. “We are proud to partner with this year’s recipients and are excited to see how their innovative and impactful programs make a significant difference in our community.”
