As part of a recent survey, our members told us they appreciate engaging with their providers to discuss next steps after appointments. Here are tips on using online tools to connect:
- Promote the portal: Ensure patients have access to your patient portal and encourage them to use it. The portal enables them to ask questions anytime and to stay connected with their provider.
- The more you know: Educate patients on how to access reliable information online about their health. Credible resources can help them stay informed and ask questions relevant to their care.
- An app for that: Leverage technology by knowing your patients’ preferred way to communicate. Consider phone, text, apps, email or messaging through the online portal. Using the method patients prefer could increase engagement and encourage quicker responses.
We've provided our members with information to encourage conversations with you.
