The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association requires us to collect medical school and residency information from physicians (MDs and DOs) who participate in our networks. This information is required by May 1, 2025.

Participating providers: Check our online provider directory to verify that your information is updated. If you need to add your medical school or residency information, update it using our demographic change form.
If you’re applying to join our networks: Include your medical school and residency information when completing our onboarding form.
Why it’s important: Without this information, you won’t be listed in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield national provider directory. Members of BCBS plans nationwide use this directory to find doctors who are accepting new patients. There are more than 241,000 members of other Blues Plans residing in Oklahoma who use this directory.
