ASC Claims Reimbursement Changes Effective Feb. 1, 2026, and May 1, 2026, Renewals
Feb. 4, 2026
Applies to Administrative Services Only (Self-Funded) Groups*
Background: There are two ASC (Administrative Service Contract) claims reimbursement contract term changes that are effective Feb. 1, 2026, and May 1, 2026, respectively.
Effective Feb. 1, 2026:
ASC (Administrative Service Contract) claims reimbursement contract terms were standardized and require claim payment remittance in 48 hours. This phase includes a claims payment remit of 48 hours vs the previous 30 days for impacted Self-Funded customers renewing Feb. 1, 2026, through April 1, 2026.
Effective May 1, 2026:
ASC claims reimbursement contract terms affect the payment cycle beginning May 1, 2026, and renewals thereafter. This standardizes our contract terms for groups renewing May 1, 2026, and after, i.e., ASO employer groups are billed on a weekly or daily basis with a claim payment remit of 48 hours.
Note: BASO/COST/MPP/Admin Fees are excluded from this change and will remain on current payment terms.
What’s changing:
- The Employer Group experience:
- Claims and Admin Fee Bills and reports will now be separate
- Claims invoices are due in 48 hours
- Admin Fee invoices are due in 30 days
- Bank Accounts are Specific to Invoice Type
- Payment Method
- Claims must be paid via electronic method (AutoPay, OBP, ACH/WIRE)
- Admin Fees can still be paid electronically or by check
